Dr. Martel is a seasoned physician executive, board-certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics, with extensive experience at the intersection of healthcare and technology. Previously, the Chief Medical Information Officer at Central Maine Healthcare, where he led the ambulatory transition to Oracle Health EHR; he currently serves as the Vice-President, Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO) at Children’s Hospital of Orange County now Rady Children’s Health Orange, Dr. Martel participates in the strategic development and implementation of innovative health IT solutions to enhance patient care, clinical efficiency in the EHR, and data-driven decision-making. With a background in clinical pediatric medicine and a passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare delivery, he oversees the use of predictive analytics and AI solutions that have been used to improve the physician documentation experience, identify patients at increased risk for hospital readmissions, and improve the efficiency of clinical and operational workflows. He brings valuable insights on health informatics, digital transformation, and the use of AI and Large Language Models for the future of healthcare.

Dr. Feaster has extensive experience as a clinician, healthcare executive, and IT leader. Previously, he was Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer at CHOC Children’s, where he developed and implemented advanced analytics programs and population health platforms and led the development of data science practices to improve patient care. Before CHOC, he spent over a decade as a Clinical Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and Vice President of Ambulatory Services at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. He has led multiple EMR implementations and has been recognized nationally for his work in health IT, clinical informatics, and digital transformation. Now an independent consultant and mentor, he continues to advise on AI, data science, and healthcare innovation.
